After finishing the film work we were then commissioned to work with the PF groups to take some photographs to celebrate this years Olympics. Each group had to re-enact an Olympic sport or a famous Olympic moment. We had some great fun setting up the shots and you can see more on the PF Flickr pages…
At the end of last year we ran film workshop sessions at 5 Locations around Lincolnshire. Working with the children and young people at Positive Futures sessions, with the aim being for them to produce their own video which would play like a short trailer, showing the activities they all enjoyed participating in. Here are some of the finished films…
A cool morning graffiti taster workshop with the lovely people at the Newark Branch of the WI. Some more pictures of the artwork coming together in our Facebook album…
Here’s what some of the participants had to say about the workshop…
I really enjoyed the session and James was a very good tutor. I am very proud of my piece of work as we all were. Every masterpiece was different and I would recommend everyone to have a go if given the chance. Hopefully there will be a next time. Many thanks June Freeman.
Just wanted to say thank you for a liberating morning at the WI event. I wasn’t sure what it would all be about. It was great as we all were able to develop our own style and choose our own representations. I am no good at art. I can’t draw or paint but this was something anyone could achieve at – even me!! I shall proudly show my work at school on Monday and at WI next meeting. I think it would be a great party idea for my son too! Thanks again Angela Linford
Just finished a great project today at Christ Church Infants school in Newark, a small group of children have designed and help paint 4 8 foot boards for display in their playground, the themes were space, faces, animals and castles and under the sea. Thanks to everyone who took part, we can’t wait to see them fixed up on display…
Finally getting a few minutes to update the site with pictures from projects/events/commisions that have taken place over the last few months, expect more to come soon…
This is the board painted by the young people attending this years Fairplay football event at Lincoln City ground in April, great day, thanks to the Positive Futures guys for putting it all together. Here’s what Dave, head of PF has to say about our work…
“We have worked with Imageskool for the last 4 years. In that time they have supported a variety of Positive Futures events and sessions around Lincolnshire. James has a great rapport with young people even some of our most challenging. We have always found the organisation friendly, flexible and professional. The quality of the work is of a high standard and I would have no hesitation in recommending this organisation”. David Sampher, Sports Development Manager, Children’s Services…
A few weeks back we we’re kindly asked by 8 year old Adam’s dad to paint a mural on one wall of his bedroom, the theme was a cartoon version of Star Wars and the Avengers with a bit of Adidas and Moshi Monsters thrown in too…
