Just finished a great project today at Christ Church Infants school in Newark, a small group of children have designed and help paint 4 8 foot boards for display in their playground, the themes were space, faces, animals and castles and under the sea. Thanks to everyone who took part, we can’t wait to see them fixed up on display…

Normanby :: Jubilee Mural…

normanby
Just finished an amazing project run over 4 days with the children from years 3,4,5 and 6 at Normanby-By-Spital Primary School near Market Rasen. All the children were involved in designing the artwork, preparing the wall and painting the mural along the theme of the Diamond Jubilee. The wall incorporates the words Diamond Jubilee in an abstract diamond, stained glass design, along with a cartoon queen, fireworks, Union Jacks and The Red Arrows. Everyone at the school is very happy and the children thought the experience was ‘amazing’. A whole host of images documenting the wall on our Facebook page and a video in production…

Primary Mural :: Planning…

Spent a lovely first day at Whites Wood Lane Primary School in Gainsborough at the end of last week, the children have now planned what the courtyard mural is going to look like and are going to prepare the area ready for 4 days at the end of March when the whole school will be involved with painting it.

Here is a little drawing and message from one of the children, it reads “Thank you James for coming in for us, here is a picture for you”…

Ingoldmells Primary :: Mural…

ingoldmells
A few days in sunny March and we were back to paint all sides of the big wall in the school field with every child at Ingoldmells Primary school, all the artwork was based on the children’s drawings and even the staff and some local sixth formers. Thanks to all involved, especially Rich from East Lindsey DC. A mass of other photos in our Facebook page album

“The children at our school absolutely loved working with James over a 3 day period. Every child in our school from age 4 to 11 had the opportunity to work on the graffiti wall and came back into school buzzing with excitement. Our Teaching Staff really enjoyed getting their hands on the spray cans too! I cannot praise James highly enough – his passion and enthusiasm were infectious and we are looking forward to working with him again on another project in the future……….

soundlincs
Working along side SoundLINCS who provide music activities for young people, I have been running various graffiti taster sessions across Lincolnshire, this is just some of the artwork produced by the young people. More yet again on our Facebook

Quote from one of the young people…

“Had a great experience today spray-painting. Everyone enjoyed it and it makes you realise how much harder it is than just on paper. Hope we get a chance to do this again! “…

And from Gemma one of the staff..

“For myself it was the one activity that i have witnessed all the young people getting involved with and keeping their attention for the whole two hours which was amazing to see. They all appeared to get so much out of it and really enjoyed it so i hope you will be returning again.
The young people also wanted to say that they really enjoyed it and thought that you were really nice and talkative which is better than some people who have been before that are really shy and hard to talk too. They said that they have never done graffiti before but really want to do it again now you have been as all of them were really proud of their pieces and didnt realise they had it in them, they said they had all gained alot from the experience and hoped you would be coming again.

Thanks James for a truly enjoyable day, i would recommend james to anyone!!”…
